Widely believed to be the most intellectual of the Greeks, it was written that when Athena sprang forth from her father’s head in full battle armor, earthquakes racked the earth and volcanos erupted the world over. A truly powerful deity, she is thought the opposite of her brother Ares - a war god of bloodlust. In contrast, she battles with strategy and logic. Though capable of a seemingly unquenchable vengeance when wronged, she is considered to be one of the few goods who values reason. Call on Athena when you need strength when facing a formidable foe - whether that be an outside influence or your internal critic, Athena will provide the strength to step back and evaluate - and the ability to strike when necessary with a warrior’s skill.

Hand carved by French artists Vie Blakey, this medallion is crafted of yellow jeweler’s bronze and is featured on our 24” 14k gold filled drawn cable chain. The medallion measures approx. 1.25”  wide.
