The Ouroborus - the serpent chasing or consuming it's tail - is a symbol that is thousands of years old and was first found in Egyptian tombs. But the iconography of this ancient symbol has since been found on artifacts throughout the world including alchemical and Vedic texts and Norse and South American Indigenous artwork.
The symbol itself represents regeneration. It's a representation of our journey through life - and more importantly, that this journey is cyclical. While it is acknowledged that life and death are but an inevitable pattern in our existence, the ideology that we are born and die many times throughout our own life times is of perhaps greater note.
Our Ouroborus is hand-wrought in heavy sterling silver by Welsh jeweler, Nic Morgan of Hireth Jewelry. Each piece is it's unique piece of art and no two are exactly alike. The engraved moveable bail allows you to slip this talisman on to nearly any chain.
